Katlyn Sandbulte

Years at OCCS: I have been teaching at OCCS since 2025.
Education Background: I graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading and early childhood education.
Professional Experience: Before joining OCCS, I gained experience working with children in several settings. While in college, I worked as a teacher’s aide in the nursery classroom at Noah’s Ark Preschool in Sheldon and student taught in a kindergarten classroom. I have also taught children’s church at my home church in Sheldon for a little over five years.
Family: I got married to my husband, Jacob Sandbulte, in the summer of 2025. Jacob is also a teacher and teaches at Sheldon Middle School.
Faith Statement: I grew up in a pastor’s family, and the church was always a big part of my life. It was in middle school that I began making my faith my own, and my relationship with Christ continued to grow throughout high school and college. I love teaching at a Christian school because I get to share Christ’s love with my students every day. It’s such a blessing to pray together, learn about God, and help my students grow in their own faith!
