Each month, we are going to be learning about the “Armor of God” outlined in Ephesians 6. Our students will spend time focusing on what the purpose of each piece of armor is and how to equip their lives through their daily trials.
Theme Song:
"O Church, Arise"
Monthly Verse, Song, & Chapel Information
Song: The Battle Belongs to the Lord
Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God,
so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against
the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Song: Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus
Ephesians 6:13-17 “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may
be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt
of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet
fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of
faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Song: Teach Me, O Lord, Your Way of Truth
John 14:6 “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
Song: Seek Ye First the Kingdom
Psalm 37:39 “The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in times of
trouble.”
Song: Our God Reigns
Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful on the mountains, are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim
peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who way to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Song: Onward, Christian Soldiers
Psalm 91:4 & 5 “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his
faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by
day.”
Song: I Will Sing Unto the Lord
Exodus 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and
I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Song: Standing on the Promises
2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Song: Christian, Do You Struggle
Ephesians 6:18 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
