Kim Huizenga

Years at OCCS: 2003 - to present

 Education Background: BA in Elementary Education and minor in Music from Dordt College

Professional Experience: I have taught General Music, Band, and Choir to grades 5-8 at Orange City Christian since 2003.

Family: My husband Aaron and I have four children. Katelyn is a freshmen at Dordt University. Mackenzie is a junior at Unity, Addison is in 8th grade, and Brady is in 6th grade. I love being a wife and mother and I love spending time with my family!

Faith Statement: Music is created by God and is a great tool for us to use to worship and serve our Creator. Since everyone is created differently, I try to use a variety of activities, performances, literature and media to help each student be able to express his/her gift in music. I really enjoy getting to know the students each year and helping them develop and use the musical gifts God has given them!
