It is a privilege to be at Orange City Christian School, where parents and staff work together to help students grow to love God and learn more about the world in which we live.  I pray that students may grow in their knowledge and love for God through our time together. “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
The OCCS library is where I spend most of my time at school.  I am in my fifth year of being the school librarian.  Along the way, teaching sixth-grade language arts has been added to my duties.  After graduating from Dordt University, my first teaching job was at Hospers Christian School, then I was a stay-at-home mom. Next, I was a Children's Librarian at Alton Public Library, a paraprofessional, and a substitute teacher which led me to start working at Orange City Christian School in 2018.

My husband and I live outside of Orange City on an acreage with our family. We attend Redeemer URC in Orange City with our four children who range from 12 to 20 years old.
