Education Background:  BA in Elementary Education from Dordt College, Masters in Educational Administration from University of South Dakota

Professional Experience: (28 yrs):  I started teaching Business and Computers at Bradenton Christian School in Bradenton, Florida.  I then began my role in administration as principal of Sanborn Christian School in Sanborn, Iowa while also teaching 5-8 math.  Next, I became principal of Oskaloosa Christian School in Oskaloosa, Iowa while also teaching junior high Bible.  I love working at OCCS and am looking forward to future years serving here.

Family: My wife, Michelle, and I are both from this area.  She is a graduate of OCCS and Unity.  I grew up in Sioux Center and then moved to Visalia, CA for junior high and high school.  We met at Dordt College and got married the summer after we graduated.  We have 3 girls:  Kaelin, Emily, and Maggie and one boy:  Leo.

Faith Statement: I grew up in a Christian home and enjoyed a wonderful Christian education from preschool through college.  I acknowledged Jesus as my Savior and Lord when I was a sophomore in high school.  I have been growing in the Lord continually since then.  I believe Jesus wants to be Lord of every part of life.  I strive to build community in Christ in everything I do.  The body of Christ is powerful when we work together following our Lord's commands.  We must bring Shalom to chaos in our community and when we do the "gates of hades" cannot stand.
