Jennifer Mills

Years at OCCS: 2013 to present

Education Background: I received a BA in elementary education with a reading endorsement from Dordt University. I received my Masters in education with an emphasis in teacher leadership from Dordt in 2019.

Professional Experience: Beginning in 2009 through 2013, I taught a combination classroom of third and fourth grade at Ireton Christian School. During my time at OCCS I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. I am currently a 5th grade homeroom teacher.

Family: My husband and I live in Orange City and we have four sons who attend OCCS and Unity. Our family loves to be outdoors and play baseball during the summer.

Faith Statement: I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach and be part of the OCCS community. Christian education has been an important part of my own upbringing, and I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with families in providing students with that same Christ-centered foundation. I view teaching as both a profession and a calling, and I strive to nurture students’ academic growth while helping them develop a deeper understanding of their identity in Christ. My hope is that students will grow in their faith, recognize the gifts God has given them, and learn to use those gifts to serve others and glorify Him in all they do.
