Mission Statement: Orange City Christian School provides academically sound, Scripturally-directed instruction to assist Christian parents in teaching their children to know God and His world, to develop godly character as Christ's image bearers, and to acquire knowledge, skills, and values to fulfill their calling as His servants.

      Each year, National Geographic sponsors a geography awareness program aimed at increasing young peoples’ knowledge and understanding of the world around them Orange City Christian School believes this awareness program blends in well with our mission to know God, His world and our role in redeeming this world for him.  

    Classroom Bees were held on Friday, December 16 to determine the students who would participate in the final round.  The students in the final round who represented their classes were:  4th Sophie S. and Megan B.; 5N Dilllan D.J and Delenn H.;  6th Janna V.B.;  7th George H. and Maxwell W.;  8th Hannah J. and Samantha B. along with wild card winner 8th grader Lexi V.S..   Following several rounds of questions our 2012 Geography Bee Champion is Samantha B..  She now has the opportunity to take a qualifying exam which will be sent to state headquarters. Congratulations, Samantha!

Chosen by audition were eight OCCS strings students who participated in the Northwest Iowa Middle School Honors Orchestra Festival on Thursday, January 19.  Playing were Hannah J., Jayci N. Josie D.J., Josie B., Jeshua W., Jordan B., haley S. and Janna V.B..  They performed in an evening concert at the BJ Haan  auditorium in conjunction with the high school honors orchestra.
