Back after a two year break, I have moved from classroom, as a teacher's aide, to kitchen, as an assistant cook.
My husband, Bob, and I have lived in Orange City for 15 of our 26 years of marriage, but we still tend to call our native Pennsylvania "home.". We have three children -- Maggie, a freshman at Northwestern; Carie, a sophomore at Unity; and David, an 8th grader at OCCS. We are active members at Trinity Church in Orange City.
During a difficult time 16 years ago (feel free to ask), God imprinted Romans 15;13 on my heart:. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13 also happens to be the Moms in Prayer International theme verse for the year. As you may have seen in announcements, I lead a Moms in Prayer group for OCCS. I would love for more women to experience the beauty, power, and peace of praying together for our children and the school. If you are interested in learning more but our meeting time does not work, please let me know. I would gladly get together with you.
I pray that people everywhere will come to trust in Jesus as their Savior and through the power of the Holy Spirit will walk in step with God's Spirit and will experience hope, joy, and peace in abundance no matter how difficult their circumstances. I also pray that the body of Christ will demonstrate the unity that Jesus prayed for and be a witness of God's love for and purpose in Christ.
